In the first class, we'll dive deep into the science of the endocannabinoid system from its purpose to the players, and the intricacies of how and where it functions.

 

We'll discuss both primary and secondary receptors, endogenous cannabinoids, the enzymes that degrade them, and ECS tone.

In the second cla,ss we'll continue our discussion on ECS tone, looking at different ways ECS tone can be expressed and what those expressions manifest as in clinical patient studies.

 

In the second part of the class, we'll explore ECS dysfunction through the lenses of

Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine,

German New Medicine, Polyvagal Theory, and Psychoneuroimmunology.

In the final class, we'll begin by discussing

the historical role of phytocannabinoid supplementation in traditional medicine systems, and explore how modern-day dietary guidelines, supplements, and practices to enhance ECS tone relate.

 

Once we've covered how to prime the ECS,

we'll dive into the basics of phytocannabinoid supplementation, covering primary, secondary, and semi/synthetic cannabinoids - from the who's to the when to use - as well as discussing terpenes, methods of administration, and an intro to directing effects.
